Do you want to use your finance expertise to make a real impact while developing your career? Are you looking for a role where you can work closely with senior stakeholders, provide financial insight, and play a key role in strengthening performance and planning?
We are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a growing not-for-profit organisation. This newly created position offers the opportunity to take ownership of financial support for a diverse portfolio of services. With a blend of strategic partnering and hands-on finance work, this is a role for someone who enjoys influencing decisions as much as delivering accurate reporting and analysis.
In this Finance Business Partner role, you will:
1. Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for your allocated business areas.
2. Provide insightful analysis to support decision-making and business planning.
3. Act as a “critical friend” to non-finance colleagues, building strong relationships and providing clear financial guidance.
4. Take ownership of ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
5. Contribute to the production of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
6. Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and scenario planning.
7. Play a key role in driving process improvements and ensuring compliance.
Why this is an exciting opportunity
This is more than a traditional management accounting role. It’s a chance to step into a true business partnering position — influencing, supporting, and challenging colleagues at all levels, while still keeping close to the numbers.
You’ll be joining at a time of change and growth, with new structures in place and the finance function evolving. That means plenty of opportunity to take ownership, shape the way things are done, and progress your career.
The culture is open, supportive, and professional — you’ll be held accountable to high standards, but also part of a collaborative team that values humour, energy, and shared success.
The successful candidate will:
8. Be a qualified accountant.
9. Have strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
10. Bring proven business partnering experience — able to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively.
11. Be proactive, curious, and not afraid to “roll up your sleeves” and get into the detail.
12. Have excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
13. Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a solutions-focused approach.
Based hybrid, with two days per week in the head offices.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged.
