An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Van Driver to join a well-established operation based in Newton Abbot, South Devon.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a consistent and structured shift pattern across a seven-day operation.
The successful candidate will become part of a professional team delivering excellent customer service while operating a 3.5 tonne vehicle safely and efficiently.
Location
Newton Abbot, Devon. This is a site and road-based role. No remote or hybrid working applies.
Salary
£12.21 – £13.68 per hour. The salary is paid weekly, every Friday, through PAYE Advance (other PAYE models are available).
Key Responsibilities
Operating a 3.5 tonne Category B van safely and in line with all relevant procedures
Completing customer deliveries to a high standard, representing the company professionally at every drop
Following all health and safety guidelines and operational protocols at all times
Maintaining punctuality and reliability across early morning starts and weekend shifts
Reporting any vehicle or route issues promptly to the relevant team members
Qualifications
Essential
A full and valid Category B driving licence
Previous experience in a van delivery role or a comparable driving environment
Ability to work confidently and safely in a fast-paced, operationally busy setting
Flexibility to commit to a Thursday-to-Monday shift pattern, including early morning starts
Desirable
Familiarity with delivery routes across South Devon
Experience working in a time-sensitive distribution or logistics environment
Please note that minimal on-the-job training will be available, so prior experience in a similar role is a requirement for this position.
