Marketing Project Manager
Marketing Manchester have an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of marketing, promotional and event related projects that support the promotion of Greater Manchester as a place to live, work, visit, study, invest and do business. The role involves drawing together teams of multidiscipline professionals to enhance the ability to engage, deliver business objectives and specific strategic aims of Marketing Manchester.
Marketing Manchester promotes Greater Manchester nationally and internationally as a place to visit, invest, meet, and study. Our work is an essential component to successfully raise the profile of the city-region as the gateway to the North and improve global perceptions and city ranking. Marketing Manchester also supports MIDAS, Greater Manchester’s inward investment agency, in the delivery of promotion focusing on priority sectors and campaigns including digital, innovation and green.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning and implementation of marketing and promotional related projects, events and campaign activity that deliver against business priorities.
2. Defining a project’s scope and goals from the outset ensure that the ambition for the project is clearly understood and played back to commissioners.
3. Planning and scheduling project, event and campaign timelines, including tracking of project milestones, partner liaison and reporting.
4. Coordinating project staff, including the sourcing of skills from across the organisation to support the delivery of projects, working in partnership with the senior management and associated team leaders.
5. Resource planning and allocation, both in terms of staffing, budget, equipment, and internal and external resource need.
6. Carrying out risk assessment or seeking professional advice and support ensuring risk is mitigated and planned for at the outset.
7. Managing project, event and campaign administration including project planners, budgets, reporting dashboards and end of project reports.
8. Take the lead with post project reporting ensuring this is delivered in a timely manner and is suitable to be shared with senior leadership team.
9. Managing the relationships with clients which could include internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and funders.

Skills Required:
18. Excellent marketing & communications knowledge supported by a professional qualification in a complementary field.
19. Previous experience of developing and delivering events, campaigns, and projects
20. Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced marketing and communications environment.
21. Demonstrable experience of leading multidiscipline teams to delivery projects.
22. Working with and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
23. Partner negotiation and ability to obtain buy-into a project vision.
24. Campaign, event and project planning and delivery skills.
