Job Description:
As a KS3 English and Maths SEMH Tutor based in Brentwood, Essex, you will be responsible for providing tailored educational support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Key Stage 3. This temporary position requires a dedicated individual who can work full-time hours to deliver engaging and effective lessons in both English and Maths subjects.
Job Duties:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English and Maths for Key Stage 3 students with SEMH needs
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual learning styles and needs of students
* Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to monitor student progress
* Collaborate with colleagues and parents to create a supportive learning environment
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support students with SEMH challenges
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
Education:
A relevant degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students
Knowledge and Skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
* Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
