Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist provision in the Cardiff CF11 area, supporting pupils aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, challenging behaviour, and other additional learning needs (ALN). We are recruiting a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 and small group support.
This full-time opportunity is perfect for someone with experience in youth work, education, or care who is passionate about helping young people succeed—both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent 1:1 support to pupils with behavioural and emotional difficulties
* Implement tailored behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
* Foster strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and development
* Work alongside teaching staff to create a safe and structured learning environment
* Track pupil progress and contribute to behaviour and education support plans

Who We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people in schools, youth settings, or care environments
* Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and constructive manner
* Patient, resilient, and passionate about improving pupil outcomes
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Team Teach, or Mental Health First Aid are beneficial but not essential
