HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 and is a training facility with 7 wings.

The Paramedic will work in the healthcare department and also on the prison wings.
Hours
* Monday – Sunday service – 37.5 hours per week
* Weekdays – 7:00–18:30
* Weekends – 8:30–17:30
* Every other weekend
* 8‑week rolling rota
Salary
This full‑time position offers an annual salary between £34,428 and £41,659, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care, listening to patients and acting on their feedback to personalize care; focus on emergency and unplanned care for patients with primary and acute needs.
* Deliver non‑judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
* Play an active part in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care following our policies, procedures and safeguarding considerations.

Qualifications
* Qualified Paramedic
* Current professional registration (HCPC)
* Proven post‑registration ambulance experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach
* Experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care or Minor injuries / illness environments
* Ideal: experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
