Job Role
Senior Quantity Surveyor required for Highways scheme based in to the South of Birmingham, on a freelance basis Outside IR35.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a central role in managing the commercial aspects of a highways scheme currently in progress. With the project at a stage where compensation events are a major focus, your experience will be essential in ensuring accurate assessment, negotiation, and agreement of these changes.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and assessing compensation events in line with contract requirements
* Overseeing cost control, forecasting, and reporting
* Supporting the commercial management of the project lifecycle
* Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and processes
* Contributing to the successful financial delivery of the scheme
Working Arrangement
This is a hybrid role, with 4 days on-site/in the office and 1 day working from home.

Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on highways or major infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of NEC contracts, particularly in relation to compensation events
* Demonstrated ability to manage and negotiate change effectively
* Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Availability to start at short notice
Rate is dependent on experience.
