Deputy Manager Community Complex Care Location: Durham, Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) Contract: Full-Time Driving Licence: Essential Are you an experienced and compassionate care professional looking for your next leadership opportunity? Our client is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the delivery of high-quality community complex care services across Durham, supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and clinical care requirements. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in leading teams, maintaining compliance, and ensuring positive outcomes for the people supported. What You'll Do: Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of community-based care services Support the Registered Manager in maintaining compliance with CQC regulations, Ofsted requirements (where applicable), and organisational policies and procedures Lead, motivate, and support care teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care Promote positive behaviour support, autism-informed approaches, and safeguarding best practice Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and the smooth onboarding of new care packages Monitor service quality and support staff development through supervisions, appraisals, and competency checks Participate in the on-call rota and deputise for the Registered Manager when required Build positive relationships with families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and external agencies What We're Looking For: Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory, senior, or management role within Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care as a minimum (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards) Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and/or complex care requirements Good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and person-centred care Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and support This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team, make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals, and develop your leadership career within a growing community complex care service.
