Description
Our client is a hedge fund looking to recruit an L/S Equity Analyst to analyze stocks with a focus on US equity markets. The Equity Analyst will be generating ideas across a variety of sectors.
Main responsibilities:
* Undertaking deep fundamental bottom-up research on a wide variety of companies.
* Working as part of a team providing research ideas to different strategies across the business.
* Identifying and assessing the sustainability of companies and groups of companies under analysis, providing an integrated approach to research.
* Attending company meetings.
* Communicating in both written and oral form with clients and companies.
Candidate requirements:
* 3-5 years’ experience working in equity research (buy or sell side).
* Generalist sector coverage preferred.
* Prior experience in investment banking preferred.
* Exceptional academic background.
* Intellectually curious and commercially minded.
