Apricus Resourcing are working with an independent organisation who are looking to hire a resettlement worker for an initial 3 month contract with a view to extend.
Within your role as a resettlement worker you will be working closely with service users to access the appropriate physical and mental health services within the area. You will advise clients on the housing options.
Other duties include:
* Support service users to maximise their financial security
* Take a pro-active and preventative approach to identify and address safeguarding issues within caseload
* assist service users gain access to suitable alternative accommodation
* Keep accurate and up to date records of all visits
* Assess and support service users with a background of rough sleeping
You will carry out weekly visits and appointments to a defined caseload of clients. You will work with service users to enable them to develop and maintain independence.
The service are looking for dedicated candidates who have experience of working with individuals who have experienced homelessness and/or rough sleeping. You will also need experience of working with Substance Misuse, Mental Health and/or dual diagnosis.
Due to the nature of the role the manager is only able to consider applicants who are able to commence work within the next 2-3 weeks.
