Cyber security Architect
Portsmouth Based
850 per day Umbrella Inside IR35
12 Month Contract initially.
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based in Portsmouth.
Knowledge
* Working and designing using security frameworks
* NIST Cybersecurity Framework
* ISO 27001 / 27002
* CIS Critical Security Controls
* Zero Trust Architecture principles
* NIS 2
* DEFSTAN 05-138
* Employing a secure by design methodology
* Familiarity with IT and OT trends and good practice
* Knowledge of SAP – Desirable
* Has developed business knowledge of the activities and practices of own organisation and those of suppliers, partners, competitors and clients; promotes the application of generic and specific bodies of knowledge in own organisation; develops executive leadership skills and broadens and deepens their industry or business knowledge.
Skills
* Significant experience (5-10+ years) in cyber security or IT architecture
* Proven experience designing enterprise security solutions
* Experience in regulated environments (public sector, healthcare, finance, etc.)
* Demonstrable track record of influencing architecture and strategy decisions
* Good level of experience in supporting the delivery of key projects in a couple of the IM&T Cyber skill sets
* Demonstrates leadership in operational management
* Analyses requirements and advises on scope and options for continual operational improvement
* Assesses and evaluates risk
* Takes all requirements into account when making proposals
* Shares own knowledge and experience and encourages learning and growth
* Understands and evaluates the organisational impact of new technologies and Cyber services
* Creatively applies innovative thinking and design practices in identifying solutions that will deliver value for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder
* Clearly demonstrates impactful communication skills (oral, written and presentation) in both formal and informal settings, articulating complex ideas to broad audiences
* Learning and professional development - takes initiative to advance own skills and identify and manage development opportunities in area of responsibility
* Security, privacy and ethics - proactively contributes to the implementation of appropriate working practices and culture
* SFIA skills as defined in the appropriate Sub-Discipline available in the IM&T Skills Academy
Qualifications
* Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field – Desirable
* Experience in consultancy or people management position – Preferred
* Professional certifications such as:
* CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
* SABSA or TOGAF certification
* CCSK / CCSP (Cloud Security)
* Microsoft security certifications (e.g., SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect)
