Salary will differ for locations outside of the UK Hours : This is a full‑time role, with hours aligned to the working patterns of the relevant country What You'll Be Doing In this role, you'll be part of our Health & Safety team, working primarily with our UK Headquarters Health and Safety team to support our Africa & Asia Area (AAA). You'll provide practical health and safety advice and assurance across a wide range of locations, with occasional travel to countries within the AAA region when needed. You'll ensure compliance with CWGC standards and local legislation across the AAA region. Your work will include overseeing monitoring and inspection plans, analysing performance data, and driving improvements through the AAA H&S Action Plan. You'll strengthen incident and near‑miss reporting, lead investigations, and address root causes. You'll also deliver regional training, support key meetings, maintain accurate records, and promote a proactive safety culture. As the main contact for external H&S and Occupational Health partners, you'll oversee the management of hazardous substances, maintain the AAA Asbestos Register, conduct audits, and present performance updates at senior meetings. What You Need To Have NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) with practical H&S experience; TechIOSH (or working towards) preferred Strong knowledge of UK and international H&S legislation, regulations and best‑practice guidance Experience implementing H&S management systems, auditing, and leading incident investigations Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels, including remotely Highly organised with strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively Valid passport and Full valid drivers licence Who We Are The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is an organisation dedicated to honouring and caring for the graves and memorials of servicemembers who died in the two World Wars.
