Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Education Improvement Advisor to join our School Improvement Team, working closely with Headteachers, school governors, a range of Local Authority services and Ofsted to ensure the best possible standards of education for our children and young people. With successful senior leadership in a school and/or local authority experience behind you, you will be a Senior School Improvement Adviser for a group of secondary schools and take the lead on supporting the 16 plus offer across Solihull. A deep understanding of whole school strategies for raising achievement is essential. The education improvement service supports school leaders in developing borough wide collaboration and school improvement. We aim for young people to be equipped with the skills they need for their own future prosperity. We are seeking to appoint a candidate who work with both schools and academies. To be considered for this post, you will need to demonstrate: A proven track record of school improvement as a leader in school. Strong leadership skills and champion improving outcomes for pupils promote school-led leadership and work in partnership with leaders in allocated schools. Excellent understanding of the context in which schools work and strategies to overcome underachievement. Excellent understanding of how to use schools' data and other performance management information systems to support school improvement. Experience of working with a wide variety of stakeholders in an ever-changing and rapidly evolving educational landscape. Be knowledgeable about Ofsted processes and may be undertaking inspections on behalf of Ofsted.
