For this role, you will need to:
* Have current NMC registration and post-registration experience
* Work as a skilled member of a nursing team
* Assist in providing high standards of holistic, family-centred care to neonates and their families
* Create a welcoming, caring, and safe environment for neonates and their families
* Manage the unit under the supervision of senior staff
* Collaborate with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team
* Provide and develop evidence-based care within the unit
Experience of working in a neonatal environment is essential.
* Provide effective, individual nursing care for neonates
* Assess physical, psychological, and social needs of neonates
* Act as a role model for newly qualified nurses
* Supervise the preparation and updating of nursing care plans, including treatments delegated by medical staff
* Integrate care and treatments from other disciplines into care plans
* Administer skilled nursing care and treatments based on current research
* Plan family involvement, teaching, and supervision for discharge home
* Teach parents how to maintain health at home and develop parenting skills
