London Concrete Pumping is a leading provider of concrete pumping solutions across London and the South East. We are looking to recruit a skilled Plant Fitter / Engineer with strong experience in concrete, asphalt and quarry plant equipment to support our growing operation.
The Role
As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of a wide range of plant and pumping equipment, ensuring maximum reliability and minimal downtime.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Servicing, maintaining and repairing concrete pumps, mixers, batching plant, quarry and asphalt-related equipment
2. Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
3. Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
4. Ensuring all machinery complies with company standards and health & safety regulations
5. Completing job reports and maintenance records accurately
6. Supporting equipment preparation and testing before site deployment
7. Occasional travel to sites across London and surrounding areas as required
About You
We’re looking for a capable and reliable engineer who can work independently and as part of a team.
Essential:
8. Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Engineer
9. Strong knowledge of concrete, asphalt or quarry plant equipment
10. Mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
11. Relevant engineering qualifications or time-served apprenticeship
12. A proactive, safety-focused approach
13. Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
14. Experience with concrete pumps or heavy mobile plant
15. Electrical diagnostic experience
16. Welding and fabrication skills
