Job Title: WINTEL Engineer

Note: This is an office-based role due to support requirements.
Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As a WINTEL Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our live services. We seek an experienced WINTEL engineer eager to develop skills in current and emerging technologies. You will join our established team supporting customers' IT systems. This customer-facing role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. You will support high-profile customers through the implementation and configuration of complex IT solutions.
Your role
Your responsibilities include reviewing customer Windows-related work requests, providing quick and detailed responses, building images, documentation, work instructions, and configuring Windows Servers (primarily virtual on VMware). You will also handle physical server builds and racking, update gold build images, perform patching and upgrades, and manage capacity reporting. Attending bi-weekly engineering meetings to update on ticket progress, ensuring builds meet Fujitsu and customer standards, and attending sites as required. You will raise risks and issues impacting costs, delivery, or deployment, assist in testing, raise change requests, and participate in change boards. Opportunities to engage in projects beyond your usual scope may arise. Mentoring and training junior team members is also part of your role, vital for staff development. Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Working hours
Support hours are Monday to Friday, 0700–1900, totaling 37 hours per week, with early or late shifts as directed. Typical shifts are 0700-1530 or 1030-1900.
