Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Client Manager to oversee a portfolio of clients, managing their accounting, VAT, and corporation tax requirements. The role involves working closely with businesses to provide expert financial advice, ensure compliance, and support clients through their digitalisation journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing their accounting, VAT, and corporation tax needs
* Provide expert financial advice and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
* Support clients with cloud-based accounting systems and digital transformation
* Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and VAT submissions
* Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies as required
* Identify opportunities for business development and enhanced client services
* Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high standards of work
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
* Strong experience in managing client portfolios within an accountancy practice
* Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
* Solid understanding of VAT and corporation tax regulations
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to client support
