Quarriers is recruiting two full time Intensive Support Workers for our What IF Male outreach service located in Glasgow. Play a part in making Scotland a better place to be by supporting people with housing needs.
Your new role
Quarriers WHAT IF Male service is an outreach service for young males who have been exposed to adverse childhood experiences, such as abuse, neglect, domestic violence resulting in mental illness, alcohol/substance abuse, distressed behavour, health and learning.
We are currently recruiting two full time Intensive Support Worker who are skilled in providing support to people within the community, who are affected by homelessness and have been unable to use existing supports to change the direction of their lives.
What you will need to bring to the role
* Previous experience in a similar role providing practical support in all aspects of managing a tenancy.
* Experience of dealing with everyday household tasks, budgeting encouraging/developing good neighbour skills of the men supported.
* Ability to engage and work in partnership with specialist agencies.
* Provide emotional / therapeutic support to manage relationships with peers.
* An SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and full UK driving licence is essential.
