Milk Education are currently recruiting for a Special Needs Tutor in the Lewisham area, the role of a Tutor is to support students is to work with PEX and SEN students whilst they are waiting a new school place or specialist provision. As your role as a SEN tutor you MUST have a good understanding of the UK Curriculum particularly in Maths and English from KS2-KS5. You will also be supporting with confidence building, communication development and emotional support. This role will be based in a hubs, libraries and homes.
About the role as a Special Needs Tutor:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to ensure student success
- Utilize various teaching strategies and techniques to engage and motivate students
- About you as a Special Needs Tutor:
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting
- Subject specialist and previous experience as a tutor
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Reliable transportation to travel to tutoring sessions (if applicable)
- Effective in relationship building
