Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of English to join our team at MEA Central. This is a permanent, full-time position starting in September 2025, offered on the Teachers' Main / Upper Pay Scale.
You will:
* Be qualified to teach and work in the UK with successful experience in the 11-16 age range.
* Have thorough English subject knowledge and an understanding of current curriculum developments, along with strong communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships.
* Deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning.
* Demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils and be passionate about making a difference in young people's lives.
* Possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate pupils and colleagues.
* Be responsible for improving learning standards and raising student achievement levels, fulfilling professional responsibilities typical of classroom teachers.
The key responsibilities include:
* Providing a personalised educational programme that develops students' skills and abilities.
* Promoting relevant subject-related activities to foster enthusiasm and interest.
* Collaborating within the subject team to reflect the school's vision.
* Fostering a positive learning environment in the curriculum area.
* Acting as a form tutor and supporting students' pastoral development.
* Participating in enrichment and extracurricular activities across the curriculum.
