Long Road Sixth Form College is a dynamic, inclusive, state coeducational sixth form college of 2,800 students located in Cambridge, offering a vibrant and supportive environment for learners aged 16–19. Situated next to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, the College provides a broad curriculum, offering A levels, Applied Level 3 and Level 2 Diplomas, and GCSE programmes within a vibrant learning environment.

Long Road was judged by OFSTED to be Good or Outstanding in all five categories at its most recent inspection in February 2025. Inspectors praised students for their exemplary behaviour, respect for one another, and mature approach to learning. They also commended our dedicated and expert teaching staff, whose high-quality instruction ensures that students achieve excellent academic results.
Reporting to the Deputy Principal, you will lead a team of motivated course team leaders, teachers and technicians and work collaboratively with colleagues across the College to ensure excellent outcomes for all our students. Our collective aim is to prepare our students to face and relish the opportunities and challenges ahead, becoming thinking, questioning and caring members of society. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual with significant experience of teaching in the 16–19 age range, and the ability to teach on one of the following courses:
A Level Maths / A Level Physics / A Level Chemistry / A Level Env Science / A Level Biology / Applied L3 Science / Applied L3 Computing
You will be responsible for leading a number of subject course teams, raising achievement and standards across our level 2 and level 3 provision, and enabling our students to achieve their full potential.
The role will commence in Autumn 2026 at the start of the 2026/2027 academic year and is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.
