Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Hire Controller to join our clients busy equipment hire business based in Newark-on-Trent.

This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity offering an hourly rate of £12.21 per hour, with a permanent salary of £27,000 once you join the company directly.

What will I be expected to do as a Hire Controller?
Answer incoming calls and respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally
Input and update customer and order information accurately on the CRM system
Manage hire orders from initial enquiry through to completion and post-hire feedback
Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams
Provide product information and advice, helping customers find the right solutions for their needs
Support sales opportunities by identifying additional products or services
Handle administrative duties including quotations, confirmations, and scheduling
What skills and experience do I need?
Proven experience in a Customer Service or Sales Support role
Previous experience in the hire or construction industry is desirable but not essential
Strong communication skills confident, professional, and approachable
Ability to multitask and stay organised in a fast-paced environment
A proactive attitude with good problem-solving skills
Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues
Comfortable using computer systems, Microsoft Office, and learning new software
Enthusiastic and customer-focused, with a genuine desire to provide the best possible service
What hours will I be working?
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 17:00
Friday: 07:30 16:00
(Full-time, 42 hours per week)
What will I be paid?
£12.21 per hour (temporary period)
£27,000 per year once permanent
