Reception/Year 1 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026

Duties as Reception/Year 1 Teacher:
* Teach Reception and Year 1 pupils full time from April 2026
* Deliver engaging lessons using provided planning frameworks when available
* Support early literacy, numeracy, phonics, and play‑based and structured learning
* Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
* Adapt teaching approaches to support mixed‑age and mixed‑ability learning
* Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively with EYFS and KS1 colleagues to maintain strong practice
* Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Reception/Year 1 Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with EYFS and KS1 experience
* Confident teaching mixed Reception/Year 1 groups
* Strong understanding of early childhood development and phonics instruction
* Effective communication, organisation, and behaviour management
* Nurturing, proactive, and committed to high‑quality early learning
* Able to support varied learning needs, including SEND
* Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting child well‑being
