Job Description Production Supervisor Pay: £33,000.00 - £36,000.00 per year Department: Manufacturing Reporting To: Head of Manufacturing Location: Kent Role Overview The Production Assistant Manager supports the day-to-day running of manufacturing operations, ensuring production is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This role combines team leadership with hands-on involvement in production processes and equipment. The successful candidate will oversee operations, support problem-solving on the shop floor, and help maintain consistent output within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Support the Head of Manufacturing in the daily management of production operations Supervise production activities to ensure output, quality, and efficiency targets are met Lead and support production teams to maintain safe and effective working practices Oversee the operation of production equipment and processes Identify and help resolve operational or process issues to minimise disruption Ensure production aligns with agreed plans and schedules Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and compliance Ensure accurate completion of production records and documentation Carry out in-process checks to maintain product quality Support training and development of production staff Work cross-functionally to improve processes, efficiency, and performance Support implementation and adherence to quality and safety standards Skills and Experience Experience supervising or supporting manufacturing or production teams Exposure to production processes and equipment Background in manufacturing environments such as food, pharmaceutical, or similar industries is beneficial Strong problem-solving skills and practical mindset Ability to lead, motivate, and support teams Good organisational and communication skills Education Secondary education or equivalent Relevant vocational or technical qualifications are advantageous Key Performance Indicators Adherence to production schedules Production efficiency and output Cost control and operational performance Equipment reliability and downtime Quality and accuracy of output Work Location: In person
