The priorities of the role will be to take ownership of all overheads and capital expenditure within the business, concerning both internal and external costs, support for payroll, building relationships with Budget Holders, and manage all accrual/prepayment matters. Key Responsibilities Lead overheads cost centre review on a monthly basis, posting relevant accruals and prepayments, ensuring the cost centres are posted up to date for month end closing. Manage R&D capitalisation (internal + external) and amortisation. Manage fixed asset register posting additions and depreciation. Review overheads with Budget holders on an ongoing basis discussing the actuals vs budget analysis, understanding spend and identifying cost saving opportunities where possible. Manage the cost centre and balance sheet structures including new nominals required and closing obsolete items. Review payroll and post monthly payroll values to correct nominals, monitor actual to forecast variance. Manage the rolling capex forecast, providing input for cash flow forecast. Lead forecasting and budgeting activities covering opex/capex. Reconcile relevant balance sheets. Actively participate in the new ERP project concerning assets and overheads. Assist external auditors with any information request that is required for audit.
