Responsibilities
* Use your retail skills and experience to drive business, push sales and achieve targets.
* Lead a team to deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
* Work with the local community to generate donated stock that drives sales.
* Recruit, train and retain a volunteer team, providing leadership and guidance.
* Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring health and safety is a priority.
* Manage effective stock processes to keep the shop well merchandised with fresh seasonally stocked items.
* Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in‑store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.
* Manage stock processes through the Epos operation.
Qualifications
* Retail experience with commercial awareness to deliver sales.
* Positive attitude and good judgement.
* Proven team‑leadership skills and ability to lead a large volunteer team.
* Enjoy engaging with people, positive can‑do attitude, and good understanding of financial and IT administration.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Cash handling/till work.
* Basic IT skills (emails, instant messaging, video calls).
* Organisational skills.
* Lone working experience.
Desirable Criteria
* High‑street retail, leisure or hospitality background.
* Experience with KPI and target setting.
* Charity retail experience.
* Health & safety knowledge.
* Team‑player attitude.
* Key holder / opening / closing responsibilities.
* Merchandising / stock rotation experience, disability confident.
Salary & Hours
£12.79 per hour, 15 hours per week over 7 days.
Location
2 Bridewell Alley, Norwich NR2 1AQ.
