Key Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and directly engage with children to understand and represent their views and wishes to the court.
* Use expertise in robust risk assessment and mediation to advocate for arrangements that prioritise the best interests of the children.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant Social Work qualification is essential.
* Registered with Social Work England (Cafcass reimburses costs of this annual cost).
* Demonstrable experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
* Experience in Family Court proceedings and understanding of Private and/or Public Law is an advantage.
* Organ, resilient, able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Location and Remote Work
While the role has a contractual base in our York office, our teams work flexibly and remotely. Your proximity to the office isn’t a critical consideration. We recognise the North Yorkshire area—including Skipton, Scarborough, and the east coast—allowing you to work in a way that suits you and the families you support.

Compensation
The advertised salary reflects our 2024/25 pay award. Salaries will be reviewed for 2025/26 to reflect updated pay scales.
