Our Oil & Gas Operator client is currently recruiting for an interim (3 months) Commercial Advisor, based in City Centre Aberdeen.
Candidates will ideally come from a background of UKCS Commercial Negotiations for example inter operator JV agreements.
Preference would be given to any candidates with immediate availability and please note that there would be a requirement to work in the Aberdeen offices 5 days per week, so the role cannot be worked on a remote basis.
Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of the standards suite of oil and gas agreements associated with company’s UK and overseas assets, and apply this knowledge in support of company’s business needs
Implement company led contract administrative obligations and manage JV contract administrative obligations
Work with teams to understand on-going operational and engineering issues that require commercial input and focus
Take the lead with multi-discipline teams to deliver commercially based business strategies
Develop a sound understanding of all technical conditions relating to commercial issues, and investigate and develop commercial strategies to resolve issues
Develop solutions that consider all commercially viable options available and have taken into account all likely stakeholder opinions
Lead engagements with joint venture partners and third parties for communication, contract compliance and in order to implement strategies in timely fashion
Market and implement oil and gas sale contracts
Actively support A&D/transition activity providing all relevant commercial data as and when required
Ensure company’s compliance with NTSA’s existing Commercial Code of Practice and Infrastructure Code of Practice

Ability to work to tight timeframes
In depth understanding of oil and gas industry
Ability to take the lead in multi discipline teams to develop and execute commercially driven strategies
