Our client who are a leading FM service provider have reached out to Build Recruitment to support them with finding a Lead Electrical engineer to work on a large commercial site which is open to members of the public based in the heart of South East London. This role as a Lead Electrical Engineer will be working on shift basis which will include days and nights 8 until 8. It works out to be 35 hours per week. You will be working as a Lead Electrical Engineer with 3 engineers underneath you ensuring they are closing down PPM's correctly and taking ownership of the logbooks.
Role and Responsibilities
* Supervising the day-to-day operation and maintenance and the team. Includes Subbie supervision where required.
* To ensure all teams PPM and repairs are carried out as necessary in line with Contract SLA.
* To ensure all reactive tasks are completed in a timely manner so as to meet the SLA assigned.
* Responsible for obtaining Permits to work. Preferably be an apprentice trained engineer who has recognised technical qualifications in electrical engineering.
* Significant industry experience in control and automation at technician/engineer level working in a critical environment reinforced with sound knowledge of Building Services (Power control, Electrical; AC; Boilers; Water Systems; Chillers; Generators; UPS's, etc.) with demonstrable complex problem-solving skills.
* City and Guilds 2391 / or Equivalent to Test and Inspection.
* NVQ Level 1,2, 3 in electrical installations.
* 18th Edition.
* Must be time served electrical tradesman or by recognised equivalent certification by a recognised body.
* IOSH Managing safely or similar health and safety course.
* Knowledge of the Permit to Work system & experience issuing PTW.
* Able to diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions.
