Warehouse / Stores Operative Full time, Permanent £28,000 to £30,000 Pearson Hydraulics Ltd operates from three locations; Lincoln, Grantham and Norwich, providing products nationally and internationally. We have been established for over 50 years and specialise in hydraulic distribution and assembly. Pearson Hydraulics Ltd have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join their team. Principal Responsibilities Goods In Unloading goods from delivery vans/lorries using FLT. Checking goods received and recording damages/missing items etc. Moving and labelling goods and ensuring correct storage in warehouse facility using FLT. where required. Use of IT systems including scanner and software packages. Goods Out Loading goods on to vans/lorries using FLT. Packing of boxes and pallets for UK and Export orders. Organising shipping with various carrier online portals. Moving and stacking goods for collection. Assist General Operatives with collating and despatching orders when required. Order Processing Collate customer orders accurately. Ensure orders are appropriately packaged for transportation. Storage & Stock Control Allocating space for goods. Keeping storage areas tidy and organised. Keeping computerised records of goods. Stock control. Trade Counter (when required) Provide excellent customer service to anyone visiting the Trade Counter. Maintain a professional appearance. Record customer enquiries, source parts, and prepare quotations. General Responsibilities Compliance with security procedures. Understanding of H&S policies and procedures. Maintaining warehouse cleanliness. Daily checks of FLT’s. Van deliveries when required. Skills Required: Experience in a customer facing role is preferred but not essential. Experience working in a warehouse retail environment. Valid forklift (FLT) license and experience advantageous but training can be provided. Basic IT skills Full UK Driver’s license.
