Nursery Practitioner - Private Nursery in Elephant & Castle (Full-Time or Part-Time) Location: Elephant & Castle, London Salary: Competitive, based on experience Contract: Full-Time (5 days preferred) or Part-Time (minimum 3 days per week) Ofsted Rating: Good Veritas Education is currently working on behalf of a well-regarded private nursery located in the heart of Elephant & Castle. This friendly, purpose-led setting provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years and is looking to welcome a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to their team. About the Nursery The nursery is rated Good by Ofsted and is thoughtfully divided into age-appropriate rooms: Baby Room (3 to 18 months) Toddler Room (18 months to 3 years) Preschool Room (3 to 5 years) It offers a nurturing and engaging environment where children can explore, develop, and thrive through a play-based approach aligned with the EYFS framework. Key Responsibilities Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children across one or more rooms Deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments Foster strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are always followed Requirements Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) Experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery or early years setting Good understanding of the EYFS and child development Professional, caring, and reliable attitude Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Working Pattern Full-time: Monday to Friday Part-time: Minimum of 3 days per week (days negotiable) How to Apply If you are passionate about early years education and are looking for a supportive nursery environment to grow in, we would love to hear from you.
