This includes litter picking and clearing paths. Conduct play area inspections and undertake minor repairs. Carry out seasonal maintenance of flower beds, shrub beds, and gardens of remembrance in cemeteries, including maintenance, clearance, litter picking, and bin emptying. Engage in planting, weeding, digging, hoeing, and watering of flower planters and formal displays as necessary. Help eradicate invasive plants and weeds, and remove encroaching grass and vegetation from pathways and roads. Perform prestart checks on vans, plant and other vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, ensuring adherence to manufacturer’s recommendations. Maintain machinery and equipment in good working condition, handle fault rectifications, and process logs for mileage and fuel. Conduct arboriculture work from the ground, including felling small trees, crown raising, and clearing windblown or broken trees/limbs.
