The StaffBank for Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust is seeking enthusiastic Midwives to join our pool of Staff Bank workers. Many full-time roles are available, but as they are ever-changing, the exact roles will be provided once your Hiring & Recruitment is complete. The roles depend on current needs and your previous experience; higher banding/rates can be discussed based on NHS experience.
Please note there are several unpaid practical training modules to complete before working via the bank:
* Prompt Study Day Including NLS Practical
* 1 Year CTG Practical
* 1 Year Infant Feeding Practical
* 3 Years Safeguarding Children Level 3 Practical
* 3 Years Safeguarding Adults Level 3 Practical
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will undertake delegated tasks from the ward manager/charge nurse and must have completed foundation gateway training to take charge of a ward/department. The post requires working within the NMC's Code of Professional Conduct.

We are recruiting midwives across both hospital sites.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment, ensure standards of nursing care, and keep accurate nursing records. Contribute to quality improvement and involve patients and carers in care planning. Assist with medication administration and develop skills to care for acutely ill patients. Participate in expanded practice under supervision and ensure effective communication within the team.

* Current professional registration with the NMC
