Overview
As a band 6 MSK physiotherapist you will have the opportunity to continue developing your clinical skills for practice. Participation in our inhouse development program will also equip you with skills and attributes essential to the rest of your career. You will be fully integrated into a larger team with a focus on delivering high quality care at the right time and place.
Responsibilities
* Carry out effective and appropriate assessments using knowledge and skills combined with clinical reasoning and contribute towards accurate diagnosis.
* Work with patients to identify and agree treatment goals delivering patient-centred care based on assessment outcomes, which demonstrate a good knowledge of the complex interaction of risk, safety, patient choice, shared decision making, independence, areas of conflict and eligibility for the services.
* Plan and lead patient group sessions as clinically relevant.
* Address all risk areas associated with individual patient’s ability to function.
* Contribute to effective discharge planning.
* Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of interventions/treatments using outcome measures.
* Work with assistants and technical instructors regarding clinical caseloads and provide necessary support on clinical issues.
Qualifications
* Band 6 MSK physiotherapist with the opportunity to continue developing clinical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Good organisation skills: able to plan own work but also work effectively within a team.
* Ability to prioritise and make sound decisions, sometimes under pressure.
* Ability to manage a varied musculoskeletal caseload with the aim of utilising all treatment and care options, with support of a named supervisor.
