Role responsibilities

The role will coordinate the implementation of Transport for Wales’(TfW) Future Generations duty by supporting the Future Generations Development Lead in its delivery, reporting and evaluating the impact of the Future Generations workstream.

1. Coordinate and support the development and delivery of TfW’s Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act programme by collaborating with the Future Generations Development Lead, Sustainable Impact and Legacy Manager, wider team and stakeholders to enhance the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of Wales.
2. Support the definition, monitoring, and communication of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure the social effectiveness of Future Generations initiatives by working closely with the wider team to embed a culture of social purpose and to ensure TfW considers the long-term effects of social impacts in the organisation's decision-making process
3. Promote TfW’s Corporate Well-being Objectives(CWBO) with colleagues, contractors and business partners, by acting as a role model and coordinating working groups and relationships to embed TfW’s future generations and sustainability culture contributing to the success of the organisation embedding the Act and CWBO and in promoting best practice.
4. Coordinate the development and delivery of colleague training programmes by working with the internal communications and HR team to ensure TfW offers effective engagement programmes regarding sustainable development, Future Generations and related subjects which will ensure the Act and Corporate Well-being Objectives are embedded within the organisation.

Who we’re looking for

5. Demonstrable experience of working in a coordination or administrative role
6. Demonstrate good planning and prioritisation to deliver work to a high standard and by required deadlines.
7. Knowledge and understanding of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act and its significance in Wales.
8. Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering various event types and coordinating groups for training and/or workshops.
9. Experience of producing presentations and dashboards using Excel and Powerpoint and reports, research findings and briefings in Word.

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.

Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
