Up to £32,000 DOE + 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm + Holiday + Pension

The Estates team operates within a collaborative and professional environment with strong job security and low staff turnover, supporting a campus that is maintained to high standards throughout the year.
This varied, hands on role involves carrying out general carpentry maintenance and repairs across the estate, ensuring buildings remain safe, functional and well presented. Duties include ironmongery works, fire door adjustments, installation of intumescent strips, repairs to furniture and fittings, skirting and architrave works, and minor roofing and kitchen fitting tasks. Unlike site based roles, this position offers consistent hours, structured working patterns and the opportunity to develop additional specialist skills through training.
The ideal candidate will have proven carpentry maintenance or handyman experience with a strong understanding of ironmongery and fire door work. You will be self motivated, organised and capable of managing your workload across a busy estate environment. A positive attitude, flexibility and strong work ethic are essential. The school can provide additional training including specialist fire door qualifications, locksmith training and forklift certification for the right individual.

The Role:
* Maintenance Carpenter / Handyperson
* General carpentry maintenance across a large campus estate
* Ironmongery and fire door related works
* Repairs to furniture, fixtures and fittings in situ
* Minor roofing, kitchen fitting and general maintenance support
* Working at height where required
The Person:
* Proven carpentry maintenance or handyman background
* Strong understanding of ironmongery (able to fix door handles etc)
* Confident using hand and power tools
* Comfortable working at height
* Ideally happy to drive a forklift (a qualification can be provided if you don't have one).
* Based within reasonable commuting distance of Street
