We are seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming SEN school in Preston this September on a full-time basis. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and personal care needs. About the role: Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day Assisting with classroom tasks and tailored learning activities Providing personal care with sensitivity and respect Promoting independence, communication, and emotional well-being Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team The ideal candidate: Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (particularly MLD or similar) Confident with providing personal care where required Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour and emotional needs Flexible, enthusiastic, and a great team player Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or child support are advantageous Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) What the school offers: Supportive and inclusive team environment Ongoing training and CPD opportunities Excellent facilities tailored for SEN learners Clear route to a permanent contract for the right candidate All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
