Join Our Team as a Support Worker

Honiton, Devon, EX14
Salary:
£12.30 per hour (£23,985 pro-rata) plus benefits.
Hours:
37.5 hours per week, between 7.00am and 10.00pm, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.
Contract:
Full-time, Permanent
Driving Requirement:
A valid full UK manual driving license is desirable but not essential.

What will you be doing?
As a Support Worker, you'll be more than just support – you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Your responsibilities include:
* Daily Care & Support: Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
* Building Relationships: Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live independently.
* Empowering Independence: Supporting personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.
* Social Engagement: Supporting activities like outings, social events, and hobbies to ensure enjoyment and participation.
* Respect & Dignity: Treating individuals and their families with respect, dignity, and equality.
Who will you be supporting?
At Devon Support Service, we support 8 adults with disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, learning disabilities, and brain injury. The level of support varies from assistance with daily chores and independence to full support in all aspects of their day.
People at Honiton are very active and enjoy outings to shops, pubs, clubs, cinemas, bowling, gyms, and swimming. We also engage with the local community through interest groups and supporting individuals with activities like radio shows.
