Overview
Clinical Psychologist in Core CAMHS (Buxton/Chesterfield area). Full-time, part-time or flexible working considered. Band 7 (with possible progression to Band 8a) depending on experience. Based mainly in the Buxton Core CAMHS Team with opportunities to work at other bases in Chesterfield/Chesterfield Royal Hospital area.
We support our psychological therapies pathways, including DBT and CBT teams, and contribute to ROM delivery or our clinical supervision programme as service needs dictate.

Responsibilities
* Provide specialist psychological/therapy-based assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
* Take a pivotal lead role in supporting ROM delivery or the Clinical Supervision Programme (according to service needs).
* Be client-centred, goal-focused and a proactive member of the multi-disciplinary team; champion ROMs and contribute to service developments.
* Empower and support young people on their journey to recovery; provide clinical advice, consultations, supervision and training for CAMHS professionals.
* Participate in case discussions and a care-team approach to formulation; collaborate on service development and evaluation.
Qualifications
Essential
* Doctoral Qualification in Clinical Psychology (or nearing qualification).
* HCPC registered as a Practitioner Psychologist or eligible (for candidates still completing training).
Desirable
* Post-doctoral training; therapy specific training (e.g., DBT, CBT, IPT, Systemic).
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* Knowledge of psychological assessment, formulation and intervention models for young people with mental health problems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication; research and evaluation skills.
* Ability to work professionally in a multi-disciplinary team; experience with children, young people and families in community settings; risk management expertise.
* Evidence of engagement with clinical supervision.
Desirable
* Well-developed consultation and formulation skills; ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
* CAMHS-specific experience; experience with neurodiversity; safeguarding experience; experience with complex trauma and attachment; experience supervising Trainee Clinical Psychologists; experience using ROMs.
