Role - Legal Secretary (Maternity Cover) Location: Aberdeen Contract: Fixed Term Contract Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:15 PM, including a 1 hour and 15 minute lunch break. Duration: Approx. 9 months Salary: £26400 p/a Overview: Our well-established client, a legal practice is currently looking for an efficient Legal Secretary to join their Court Department in Aberdeen on a maternity cover basis. This role will primarily support solicitors working in Family Law and Civil Litigation, providing high-quality secretarial and administrative assistance. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, format, and process a variety of legal documents and forms, including through case management systems and legal databases. Provide accurate audio and copy typing support. Maintain and coordinate busy diaries, scheduling meetings and court appearances. Liaise professionally with clients and external parties, maintaining confidentiality and a client-focused approach. Manage documentation, including filing (electronic and paper) and archiving. Assist with basic financial tasks, including fee typing and handling cash-related processes. Requirements: Strong communication, interpersonal, and client care skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an ability to learn internal systems quickly. Excellent attention to detail, with a high standard of accuracy in typing and documentation. The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A professional, flexible attitude and strong work ethic.
