The Role
* Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, specialising in Resistant Materials/Product Design
* Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured practical and theory-based lessons
* Supporting pupils with coursework, NEA (Non-Exam Assessment), and examination preparation
* Promoting high standards of workshop safety, tool maintenance, and health & safety
* Encouraging creativity, precision, and independence in design-and-make sessions
* Monitoring pupil progress and using assessment effectively to raise attainment
* Contributing to wider school initiatives and extracurricular design challenges
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related subject
* Experience teaching DT at secondary level with a focus on Resistant Materials
* Strong subject knowledge and confident practical classroom delivery
* High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress
* A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
