The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations. If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted. Contract: Casual Hourly pay rate: £12.65 per hour The Hastings Academy is looking to recruit an Exam Invigilator to join our existing invigilation team. This is a casual contract, so hours and days will vary dependent on need. However, availability between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm is required. Examinations take place throughout the academic year, starting in October and ending with the GCSE examinations in May and June. Under the guidance of the Exams and Outcomes Manager, Exam Invigilators provide support for internal and external examinations at the Academy. The role involves: · assisting with the set up of exam rooms · patrolling exam rooms during exams and monitoring students behaviour · collecting exam papers at the end of exams · ensuring compliance with statutory policies related to the role Experience of working in a school or with young people would be an advantage, however, full training for the role will be provided. Our ideal candidate will be professional and flexible, with good spoken and written English. Candidates should be reliable and possess a calm but firm approach.
