Chichester College has an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an Instructor/Technician in Creative Industries at our Chichester campus. This is a part-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary of GBP 24,598 to GBP 24,695 per annum pro rata (approx. GBP 14,758.80 - GBP 14,817).
Are you experienced in Creative and Performing Arts and seeking a flexible part-time role that accommodates your other commitments?
We are looking to appoint an Instructor/Technician to support learning in Dance, Drama, and Costume courses within the Performing Arts department.
As our Instructor/Technician, you will assist in building props and sets for productions in our on-site theatre and other local venues. Recent productions include Edelweiss Pirates, The Table, and Sister Act, which received positive community attention. Your tasks could range from constructing jungle environments to castles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage administrative tasks related to courses and generate reports and statistics as needed.
2. Coordinate with Additional Support to ensure students receive appropriate assistance.
3. Participate in curriculum reviews, college events, meetings, and promotional activities.
4. Organize daily learning activities, including resource preparation and maintenance.
5. Support individual or group student activities within the learning environment.
6. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including risk assessments and policy reviews.
7. Contribute to course review activities and develop new resources and action plans.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
1. Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area.
2. Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or willingness to work towards it.
3. Relevant industrial or subject experience.
4. Knowledge of theatre equipment.
5. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
