Nurture Teaching Assistant (Primary School) Location: Blackburn Hours: Full Time(Term Time) April Start Date: Pay- £ Per Hour depending on experince. We are seeking a caring, resilient and dedicated Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Blackburn on a Full -time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional emotional, social and behavioural support to access learning successfully. The Role As a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will: Work closely with individual pupils and small groups across the primary age range Support children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs Help pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive relationships Deliver nurture-based interventions in line with the school’s nurture provision Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with children in a primary or nurture/SEMH setting Demonstrates a calm, patient and empathetic approach Understands attachment, trauma-informed practice and nurture principles (desirable) Has strong communication and teamwork skills Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children What We Offer A supportive and welcoming school environment Ongoing professional development and training The opportunity to make a real difference to pupils’ lives A full-time, term-time position within a committed staff team All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
