I am hiring for Principal Microsoft Purview Architect – Information Governance & Compliance Location: Sheffield, UK - Office Attendance: 3 days per week (Non-negotiable) Job Description Define and deliver target-state architecture for Microsoft Purview retention, records management, and eDiscovery at enterprise scale. Translate regulatory requirements (MiFID II, SEC/FINRA, GDPR, UK DPA) into enforceable Purview retention and records policies. Design event-based retention, immutable records, disposition workflows, and litigation hold strategies across M365 workloads. Implement and manage retention labels, auto-classification, trainable classifiers, adaptive scopes, and disposition reviews. Integrate Purview with eDiscovery (Premium), Audit, DLP, and Legal Hold processes while ensuring tenant-wide scalability and performance. Automate policy deployment and monitoring using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph; produce audit evidence, reporting, and operational runbooks.
