Due to my client continuing to grow, they are now looking for a Bid Manager to join their Pre-Construction team. The projects you'll be involved in include multi-utility and rail works, working on Thames Water, UKPN, and Rail infrastructure projects. You will focus on the power side of the business, managing a long-term contract for SSWE, which involves substations and cable routes. Many employees have started in junior roles and advanced to senior positions within the company, enjoying long-term careers.
In addition to Bid Management activities, the role requires assistance with pricing clarifications for tender submissions. Candidates should have experience with a well-known utility or rail contractor. The role also involves planning activities aligned with tenders and contracts, liaising with management and engineers to monitor project progress and resolve issues.
The position is based at their head office in Borehamwood, with options to work from their Slough office, and includes site visits to London.
REQUIREMENTS
* Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC) in Construction, Civils, Business, or an equivalent qualification.
* Experience in civil engineering as a Bid Manager or Estimator, demonstrating stability with 1-3 years at each previous company.
* Full UK driver’s license for site visits and travel.
