Job Description
We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Hereford as a CAREGiver. You will provide a variety of non-medical services to help them stay independent in their own homes. Our current vacancies are for daytime hours.
You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people, which could be personal experience caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy, and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and be comfortable spending time in the company of others.
Qualifications
This involves spending time with the same regular clients, building great working relationships. Being someone's only person they might see for the day, providing companionship. Putting a smile on someone's face. Being supportive and helping them regain confidence, assisting in and out of the shower or bath. Running errands like shopping or helping with housework. Accompanying them to hospital appointments or social events. Listening to their stories, learning about the person you are supporting. Working together as a team.
