Trauma-Informed School - SEN Support Worker Location: Thornton, Liverpool Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Full-time, Term-time About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a trauma-informed primary school in Thornton, Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those who have experienced trauma. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Work closely with teachers and the pastoral team to create a safe, nurturing environment. Implement trauma-informed strategies to help pupils regulate emotions and engage in learning. Assist with classroom activities, interventions, and one-to-one support. Requirements: Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential). Understanding of trauma-informed practice (essential). Strong communication and empathy skills. Ability to build positive relationships and promote resilience.
