Position
Diesel Engineer – Peterborough – Salary £34,000 per annum
Responsibilities
* Service equipment on customer sites and respond to call-outs when required
* Collaborate with the Hire Controller, Driver, and Fitters to ensure smooth hire operations
* Perform repair and maintenance of Generators
* Service, repair, and overhaul equipment and components at the depot, customer premises, and third‑party sites
* Assist with loading and unloading pumps and generators onto the lorry using Hi‑Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck
* Travel throughout the North of Scotland as required
Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous experience in a Service Engineer role, with the ability to work autonomously
* Strong working knowledge of Diesel Engines and Pumps
* First‑hand experience with fault finding, diagnosis, maintenance and repair
* Full driving licence
* Commutable distance from Peterborough
Compensation and Benefits
* Salary: £34,000 per annum
* Company van, fuel card, and specialist tools provided
* 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday 8:00 – 16:30
* 33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
