Construction Delivery Manager Rate: £424 p/d Duration: 6 – 12 months Site-based - Hinkley Point C Our client is acting as the Principal Contractor on Hinkley Point C and currently requires a Construction Delivery Manager to support. As Construction Delivery Manager, you will support the delivery of works within a specific section of the Hinkley Point C construction site. Reporting to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager, you will oversee construction activities, logistics planning, contractor coordination, and programme delivery to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project objectives. You will work closely with the wider delivery team, logistics teams, contractors and project stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination across site operations. Key Responsibilities Support contract partners in delivering their work packages to ensure efficient and timely completion of construction activities. Assist with tactical logistics planning for individual work sections and implement detailed logistics strategies alongside the site-wide logistics team. Monitor on-site construction activities and contribute to daily construction reporting, escalating risks or issues where required. Proactively coordinate with project teams including Health & Safety, Project Controls, Contracts, and Logistics to maintain strong communication and reporting lines. Attend contractor planning meetings (PLOD/PLOW) and ensure key actions and outputs are documented and shared with senior management. Conduct safety and assurance inspections in support of project health and safety performance indicators. Review documentation, conduct assurance checks, and recommend temporary measures to address safety or quality concerns where necessary. Maintain clear and effective communication with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager regarding progress, risks, and operational issues. Support contractor briefings and ensure key project messages are communicated effectively across teams. Work shifts aligned with Tier 1 contractor shift patterns. What We're Looking For Essential: Experience in construction sequencing, recovery planning, and resource allocation. Good understanding of CDM Regulations and associated responsibilities. Demonstrable experience in delivering construction or infrastructure projects. Ability to produce clear, concise and informative reports. Strong organisational, stakeholder management and communication skills. Proven ability to motivate and collaborate with contractors and project partners. Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent vocational experience). SMSTS or IOSH qualification. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment. Results-driven mindset with strong accountability for delivery, quality and safety.
